However, Chieftess Brightpaw isn't adoptable, she's my character. Listed below are all the elves in the Holt at present. When you click on each link
you will end up on their page. Each page contains a picture and a brief information
blurb concerning the elf; as well as if this elf is adoptable or not.
More about Wolfriders: Wolfriders are Nocturnal (night-dwelling) elves that have a strain of mortal wolf blood running in their blood from the time of the 'High Ones'. They range in height of 2'3" to 4'8", with 3'7" being about the average. In weight, they range from 38lbs all the way up to 108lbs. They ride wolves and have taken on the 'pack' attitude of their wolves. They mentally link with (generally) one wolf-cub during both (the elf and the wolf) of their childhoods, this is called 'bonding'. That bond grows stronger as the 2 grow up together and exists for the lifetime of that wolf; upon the death of the first Wolf-bond it is typical for that elf to be chosen by a grown unbonded wolf that may still be with the pack. All of the Wolfriders have the Sending, Magic Feeling, and Wolf Bonding magic abilities. At the present time, the Wolfriders of Everwood Holt are using bone and stone tools. Now due to one of the elves in the Holt has the stone-shaping ability, very sharp stone weapons are kind of predominate. Please note that if you are interested in playing or adopting a Wolfrider, you will need to pay attention to the magic abilities above, as well as the restrictions. This will help you when making decisions about what you would like your elf to attempt to do. Some History!
Further back in the misty reaches of a story-keepers memories, the origin of this small tribe of Wolfriders is still held in safekeeping.
Bent was the name of the very first chief of this Holt. He lead a splinter group of 17 elves away from a near famished area. In so doing, this small group broke from a larger band of elves. The larger band of elves had decided to split into several smaller tribes. Each would search for a new home. Bent's small group wanders for many eights of turns, the numbers increasing as the females in the group began recognizing and having cubs. It was decided (after much feminine pressure) to find a bountiful territory and set down roots. Since that time, the Holt's location hasn't changed, Though it's boundary's have expanded or shrunk depending on the size of the Holt members.
