Characters of the Game

The Elves are the main characters used in this game. That does not mean that you can't play a Human or a Troll. Just that the game tends to center around the Elves more often the not. For those of you who want to play a Human or a Troll, please go click the Trolls or the Humans links.

Whether you are wanting to Design you own elven Character or Adopt, you will have to choose from which of the Elven Tribes your character comes from. We have the different Elven Tribes, that are presently involved in the Role Play game, listed below.

Wolfriders

Wolfriders are Nocturnal (night-dwelling) elves that have a strain of mortal wolf blood running in their blood from the time of the 'High Ones'. They range in height of 2'3" to 4'8", with 3'7" being about the average. In weight, they range from 38lbs all the way up to 108lbs. They ride wolves and have taken on the 'pack' attitude of their wolves.

They mentally link with (generally) one wolfcub during both (the elf and the wolf) of their childhoods, this is called 'bonding'. That bond grows stronger as the 2 grow up together and exists for the lifetime of that wolf; upon the death of the first Wolf-bond it is typical for that elf to be chosen by a grown unbonded wolf that may still be with the pack.

All of the Wolfriders have the Sending, Magic Feeling, and Wolf Bonding magic abilities.

Gliders

The Gliders are all of the Pure Elven Stock, which means that unless they get sick or are killed, they will be Immortal. They range in height of 3'4" to 6'2", with 4'5" being about the average. In weight, they range from 78lbs all the way up to 156lbs.

The typical Glider has contact only with those within the Blue Mountain. Only the Gliders called the 'Chosen Eight' (or their very few Trainees) have contact with the outside world. They are also the only ones that have experience with hunting food, or with riding the Giant Hawks, which were breed specifically for the Chosen.

All of the Gliders usually have the Sending, Magic Feeling, and Gliding (levetation) magic abilities. If Fact, it is rare for an elf from with in the Glider tribe to be born without those abilities, Winnowill is an example of one Glider without this 'Gliding' ability.

The Gliders that are presently with the Havenwood Holt Wolfriders, are a group of renegade Gliders from Blue Mountain. This group contains some of the 'Chosen Eight' and their Trainees. The Gliders are usually up and about with the sun, but after traveling with the Havenwood Holt Wolfriders, this group has become somewhat nocturnal, at least for themoment anyway.

All of the Gliders have Sending and Magic Feeling magic abilities.

Plainsrunners

The Plainsrunners are all of the Pure Elven Stock, which means that unless they get sick or are killed, they will be Immortal.

They range in height of 2'3" to 4'8", with 3'7" being about the average. In weight, they range from 37lbs all the way up to 108lbs.

All of the Plainsrunners have Sending, Magic Feeling, and Animal Bonding magic abilities.

Mountaineers

The Mountaineers are all of the Pure Elven Stock, which means that unless they get sick or are killed, they will be Immortal.

They range in height of 2'3" to 4'8", with 3'7" being about the average. In weight, they range from 37lbs all the way up to 108lbs.

The Mountaineers have Sending, Magic Feeling, and Animal Bond magic abilities.

Sea Elves

The Sea Elves are all of the Pure Elven Stock, which means that unless they get sick or are killed, they will be Immortal.

They range in height of 3'6" to 5'0", with 4'2" being about the average. In weight, they range from 38lbs all the way up to 120lbs.

Sea Elves have formed a partnership with Dolphins (the Two Moons version of course!) which is reminese of the wolfriders partnership with their bonded wolves, only there are no blood ties. Whether or not they are able to Animal Bond with other creatures is dependent on if the individual Sea Elf has the Animal Bonding Power.

All of the Sea Elves have Sending and Magic Feeling magic abilities.

The Adoptable Elves Listing

If you don't want to make your own character, but instead wish to adopt a character...Or if you've already designed or plan on designing your own character, but playing one just isn't enough...This is a great place to choose an already pre-generated character!

You pick a name (or names) and the pre-generated character sheet(s) will be sent to you. It will be up to you to come up with the elfs' personality, looks, and background history...

You can pull as many characters as you can comfortably play from any of the tribes that you want. The numbers next to each of the names, stand for the elf's age. That's why we've placed them here... These elves would love a good home and a chance to play. So take a look at what is offered and enjoy!

To the left hand side of this webpage, as on all the pages in this website, you will find the email link to the Holts' President, Jennifer. You may use that to let her know which of the lucky elves you would like to adopt. But remember to include all the information listed under Joining Havenwood Holt, before sending your Adoption request along to her.
